Happy Halloween!

We've been busily preparing for Halloween at the Six-Headed House.  There's been autumn yardwork, leaves to rake, decorations to put up, pumpkins to decorate, costumes to prepare and candy to gather!

Marion was NOT happy about dressing up, but we made her participate anyway:

This was the warmest it's ever been for us on trick-or-treat day, so eventually the kids who were doing a lot of walking got too warm and had to remove their masks:

When we got home, everyone dumped their candy into one big bowl and shared while they listened to Halloween music:

Happy Halloween, everyone!

Adventures, cookies, warm sweaters and s'mores!

We've been having lots of adventures lately.  First we went to Flabbergast.  Which is like Chuck E. Cheese only you won't get a disease from touching things.  It was sooooo clean!  Simon wasn't real keen on the inflatables, but Charlotte and Leonard played for hours.

Everyone played whack-a-shark, which was hilarious...

And Simon and Marion had a great time in the toddler play area while the big kids ran amok.

We've had some fun campfires out back, complete with pajamas and s'mores, yum!

Yesterday we went to a pumpkin farm with our friends the Obersts!  It had a petting zoo, corn maze, barrel train, race track, playground...  Here are all SEVEN Oberst and Gossen kids:

Today we bundled up and went to the zoo!  Our friends the Guzmans met us there and we had festive pumpkin cookies and enjoyed the fall colors.  We picnicked for lunch, rode the train, played on the playground and saw lots of animals.

Also, The Beautiful Queen Marion has started playing peek-a-boo with us behind the living room curtains, which is totally hilarious, and she recently said her VERY FIRST WORD: "yellow."

And here's a bonus from when we were getting ready for church a couple of weeks ago.  She's just so cute!

We hope you're all having a great fall and haven't had to turn on your heat yet!!!!  Lots of love from The Six-Headed House.
