Hooray for fall!

Here at the House, we're thrilled to welcome cooler weather, fall colors and pumpkin-flavored everything.  Here's what we've been up to:

Marion has decided she's a Big Kid like everyone else.  She loves honking the horn while riding in "The Blue Car,"
trying really hard to crawl,

making messes,

and playing with Simon while the big kids are at school.

She has 4 teeth now and can say Mama and Dada.  Smart and beautiful, no?

Simon, Charlotte and Leonard all recently had an awful but brief stomach virus that came with some pretty crummy fevers, nausea and chills.  Amazingly, no one missed any school and the misery hit them one at a time.  Half of us were spared (so far), thank goodness.  Here's pitiful Simon, watching cartoons and waiting it out:

Earlier this month, Charlotte accompanied Grandpa and Great-Grandma to a family wedding in Virginia and sightseeing in Washington, D.C.   They visited the Holocaust Museum, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Reflection Pool, the White House...  Charlotte was extremely excited to fly in her first airplane, stay in a very cool hotel, ride the train and dance herself silly at the wedding!

While Charlotte was traveling, the rest of us tried out a new park that the kids recently asked to visit and had a picnic breakfast:

Tonight we had pizza on the back patio and gave the kids a surprise-- a Thomas Power Wheels toy!  They LOVE it.  The motor is really designed for someone Simon's size, but it did just fine for Charlotte and Leonard, too.
